Each Sprint provides you with a Team of Two engineers who work on your project exclusively for a week, full-time. We bill you a lump sum of $10,400 per week but the pricing breaks down to a reasonable $130 an hour, per engineer. If you would like, additional engineers can be added to each sprint for an additional $130 an hour, per additional engineer. Snazzy, huh? When you sign on for Cloudspace's engineering services you also gain access to the following services:
- System Operations - Billed at $160 an hour, per administrator
- Project Management - Billed at $100 an hour, per manager
- Front-End Design - Billed at $110 an hour, per designer
As all projects require a bit of quick-thinking and improvisation on our part, there is a clause in your Contract that allows Cloudspace to use up to 5 hours of each of the additional services listed per week, at our discretion.
Although our normal development process includes ongoing Agile planning, if you'd like a great up-front plan and estimate, one of our startup experts will spend a day breaking your system requirements down into feature tickets that are suitable for developers to begin coding your application. We'll use our technical and product experience to help guide you towards a great minimum viable product (or to the next milestone on your project's roadmap) so that you get the most value for your dollar.
You'll walk away with a full list of tickets for any engineering team to implement as well as detailed estimate for how long your project will take. The planning process for most projects will take one day of work, but complex projects can take an additional day or two. The fee is $4,000/day for planning.
Our engineers are so good, that sometimes 40 hours a week just isn't enough. For those instances, we will be charging a standard increase of time and a half. We believe in sustainable development practices, so the time-and-a-half rate is meant for small overages or the occasional special event like launch weeks or hitting a particular deadline. Cloudspace will get authorization from the client before any overtime work begins. This is also the rate for any work requests submitted by a client during a non-Sprint Week.
Urgent work will be billed at $500 an hour, per engineer. Cloudspace defines 'Urgent Work' as any work request that comes in during the weekend, on any national holidays or during the time frame of 6pm eastern to 9am eastern.
Many of our clients like to know what's going on behind the scenes. Our standard Ops Contract is $1,000 a month. This provides 24 hour a day monitoring of your site, off-site backups of your database and code, and an Operations Dashboard which provides a clear look at how your site is running. The Ops Contract also guarantees that you'll never be billed the $500 an hour urgent work rate for Operations. Urgent work will be billed at the reduced rate of $240 an hour.
Cloudspace's preferred method of payment is via a credit card that is kept on file. This allows us to do billing and payment just prior to the start of each work cycle. If you have a special circumstance that will not allow payment by credit card, wire transfers and check by mail are also acceptable.
If you've got any questions about our pricing, give us a call at 877-823-8808 or email us at email@example.com. We'd love to hear from you.
For projects that don't need a full 80-hour Sprint week, we offer an Ongoing Support contract. Ongoing Support uses a monthly retainer, which is pre-purchased at the beginning of each month. Ongoing Support Services are billed in 15 minute increments. Ongoing Support clients require a ticketing system, so that tasks can be passed off efficiently from engineer to engineer. If you don't have a preference for a ticketing system, our engineers will happily set you up with a Pivotal Tracker account. Unused monthly support hours do not roll-over to the following month.
